At Michigan Surgical Hospital (MSH), We Care about providing patients with personal, specialized care and compassion.
Michigan Surgical Hospital is a boutique, physician-owned hospital. Unlike larger hospitals in the Detroit Metro area, our physicians and staff are able to focus more time to provide individualized attention to each and every patient we serve.
MSH proudly offers surgical services, specialty clinics, medical admissions, community screenings, radiology, laboratory services and translation services. Our surgical specialties include back and neck, vascular access, orthopedic, podiatric, general and gastrointestinal.
Michigan Surgical Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission with three surgical suites, one procedure room, twenty inpatient/observation beds and a 1:4 nurse to patient ratio. Our highly skilled staff are proud to work in a facility that places this much emphasis on relationships as well as care.
MSH has deep roots in the Warren community. The facility was first established as Kern Hospital in 1973 by founder Monsior Kern. The name was changed to Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital in 2003. Then, the name was shortened in 2013 to Michigan Surgical Hospital.
We are proud to be a part of the National Surgical Healthcare (NSH) family of facilities. NSH is a leader in owning, operating, and partnering with physicians in the short-stay surgical hospital and ambulatory surgery center industry.
